Who sells
You buy the license from Freemius (Freemius, Inc., USA), which sells it as authorised reseller (merchant of record). You pay Freemius; Freemius handles withdrawal and refunds under its terms of sale.
Refund for defects

Statutory right of withdrawal for digital content
As a consumer in the EU, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content such as a license key, it expires once delivery begins if you have expressly agreed beforehand that delivery may begin before the withdrawal period ends and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356(5) of the German Civil Code).
